Let's Talk Craft Beer

One of my favorite beers, from a small brewery in Seattle (Pike Brewing)

I've heard extremely good things about Pike's but have yet to give it a try.

Off the top of my head:

Blue Moon
Fat Tire
Sierra Nevada

Picking up a nice sample of Lightning Brews tonight. Getting a 22oz of each of their different brews. =D

Will report back later. ;)

I knew Blue Moon was made by someone big so I looked it up to learn that it's actually a Coors product. Thought that was kinda weird for them. Apparently the have a very similar beer that they sell in Canada under the name Rickard's White. Do you guys do the orange slice?

I'm not big on belgian whites though especially hoegaarden but, hoegaarden is supposed to be top notch so if you guys like Blue Moon you might like that too.

Hoegaarden is delicious. I like alot of wheat beers, but blue moon is a pretty good deal among them usually.

I love going on Coors tours since I used to like just a few minutes from the Coors factory in Golden. I used to take a tube up Clear Creek (their water source) and go tubing, stop at the bottom, go on the "quick" tour which goes straight to the taproom, drink my limit, walk back up and repeat.

I have only tried the orange slice in the Blue Moon once or twice. I guess I feel like it isn't worth the effort.

I had some Landshark today. I don't like it that much. It is too much in between a light beer and a Corona.

t'was the Amber ale this evening.

Edit:
And now, I've moved on to the Old Tempest Ale. I find that the OTA has a much mellower taste, I actually prefer it to the Amber ale.

If you're in/near Seattle, their pub is awesome. They have a great sampler tray of all their beers you can order to try a wide variety :D

Is their stuff available in Cali? I know Seattle stores have it but beyond that I wasn't sure...

they usually sell it in specialty beer stores in Cali, and I've seen it at some Whole Foods too.

All the more reason to roadtrip to Seattle then.

My town has a lot of little yuppie shops in the downtown area that sell small brands like that, in fact we just got a specialty (though overpriced) liquor store that sells it. And of course the Nugget has it and the coop.

Sam Adams always gave me a headache no matter how many I drank. I do like it though, Same with miller high life.

WTF right? By the time I was on my second Sam Adams, my head was already hurting. Of course I finished the six pack still, but the headache is killing the buzz.

I has High Life last night but didn't get a headache with that.

I know they must put some funky shit in there.

If anyone comes through NM, stop in albuquerque at the Marble Brewery and get either a Wildflower Wheat or a Double IPA...pure awesomeness

For good beer, gotta love Stone Brewery, as well as Marlble
For cheap beer, it better come from milwaukee

I had some blue point toasted lager last night. It is amazing. That was probably the first time I had it sober so I was able to enjoy it.
