Let's recognize the advantages of heroin too...

perhaps 4 u when u have a job and all and life is pretty much set up u lead more of a normal life on opiates... if u would be still in college ,where i think lots and lots of opiate users are u get ur life fucked up cause u cant really concentrate well and learn stuff. Or if u have a job that demands lots of focused racional thinking i think u also wouldnt be able to cope with it.
but thats just me...

In my mind that statement is absurd. Like stating the earth is FLAT, and truely believing it. Opiates kill pain. There is absolutely nothing about any opiate, heroin or otherwise, that suggests they "kill", or affect in anyway, any of the 200 viruses that cause colds. Opiates affect the way you percieve the symptoms.
Dig it:

Because of the growing problem of drug resistance, doctors are being discouraged from prescribing antibiotics (which do not affect viruses) for colds unless secondary bacterial infection makes them necessary. As I stated above, heroin may lessen or mask the symptoms of a cold but it does not cure a cold. Believe what you will but it is a hard scientific fact....You may as well believe in unicorns as well.

NOPE, it isnt possible that any DRUG, especially OPIATES have cured the common cold..like said above, it masked the pain u receive from the cold, but it doesnt CURE it infection itself..
well, i work construction and own a little side bizness on the side, which DOES require some thinking, and yet i still take OPIATES on a daily basis and will for quite some time to come..it does NOT hinder my money making skills at all..
 
O.K. Let's not calling it cure then. Opium is used in the far east for treating colds - and I am not speaking of masking symtoms. In fact I have seen several times in print that opiates have a long history of curing colds.
But I was meaning other peoples' colds - as I have seen myself. I am not talking about me - a junkie - but of people who seldom or never had taken heroin prior to the instant when they were desperate to avoid a cold. My brother used it 3 times - during a couple of years - and every time he had a desperately sore throat, a temperature etc, all symtoms that told him that he was in for a week of misery. After heroin shot S.C. he was cured - and the next day he had no trouble whatsoever. Nor during the weeks that followed.
And that is true for a lot of other people as well - that the symtoms disappear ( and that they will not come back in weeks or months) and they feel all right again. Okay let's not call it "cured" - but it works...
