you know, i bet virgin blue or any travel agent can do quite cheap flights for a group of people. More than 10 or 15 and I reckon ticket prices would probably drop by $50 or so.
Travel agents are cool because you can hagle them. They dont mind a bit of bargain hunting

Okay Tars I'm just putting down some links that I've checked out as far as the travel up there goes. On the Budget link there's a link on their site to Impulse Airlines.

Well unless you're going on an international flight up to Syd or Bris stopover(it does happen) then I wouldn't worry about them cause they won't be around. However if it's an international then I say forget it, although it's outbound so it might not be so risky, but still domestic is cool.
 
I'd be guessing an international flight would cost more too, so we prolly wouldn't end up on one of them...
Now, I checked out www.flightcentre.com.au and they came up with some good prices through Impulse airlines, but again for internet bookings only... around $75 to $150 for Melb to Syd
Will speak to a travel agent and see if I can get an equivalent deal... not too keen on internet bookings...

Ok, after nearly embarrasing myself by calling the travel agent and not knowing when I want to travel, has anyone got any confirmed dates? Or even a tentative date, at least something concrete to work with... I'm guessing it'll be around the 13th???

tarsy, i heard adventjah is on easter monday, so that would be 16 april.
guess what?? i kinda do have a river nearby so a re-enactment of earthcore may be possible! would a little creek with lots of trees do? that's what runs down my back yard.

Explanation: you wouldn't believe my luck when a won the staff Christmas party lucky door prize. A trip for 2 to (a list of destinatons) and 5 days car hire. I can take this trip to Brisbane (or the Gold Coast)! This is so exactly what I wanted to do with this thing...
As soon as I can confirm some dates, I'll make sure I can rock along.
