Just curious as to what exactly the "legs" of a high are? I've seen people say things like a heroin high has many legs or not many legs for instance. Thanks for the help in advance.

The "legs" of a high i believe refer to how long the high lasts; it usually comes up when discussing the rush that an opioid high causes.

Hydromorphone, for example, when used intravenously, produces a huge rush then the high quickly fades away. Other opioids like morphine might not produce as much of a rush but the high remains a lot longer.

It essentially means the high has 'staying power'.
