Was just wondering the legalitly of the two I heard from someone that gbl has now become illegal????
If so does anyone know a web site that shows me such knowledge?
I havent been around in a while but last time I heard it was just a listed chem.
I have heard people packages becoming confiscated containing gbl???
Now if it isnt illegal and it was sold downright as gbl(not a ink cleaner or supplement) shouldnt the government have no right to confiscate it since it isnt improper labelling or illegal? or have all the rules changed now??

my understand of a list one chemical was that its legal to posses, but you might get asked funny questions if you try and purchase it/get phone calls from the dea asking you what your going to do with it.
GHB is C I though....

Exx_head: your slightly confused. That's Schedule I, not List I. Your not allowed to have schedule I substances unless you have a special license from (probably) the DEA. That's what Shulgin had so he could legally cook up MDMA, LSD, 2C-B, etc.

no, YOU are slightly confused.
List one chemicals and schedule one substances are two different things. Chemicals are on a schedule list because they can be used to make drugs. Scheduling applies to drugs. Read up on drug law before making accusations.
Check this out for a definition of list ONE chemicals.

To clairify once and for all..
Schedule I refers to active drugs, for instance, GHB - that is, the stuff you get when you react GBL and NaOH ..
List I refers to chemicals that are easily made to into controlled substances, an example is GBL - these ARE legal to possess as long as it stays under threshold amounts .. here is the thing, ok, you can LEGALLY go into a chemical supplier and buy GBL, NaOH as well as HCl - this is legal, you are not violating any laws buying those - HOWEVER, the minute you walk out of that shop you have broken the law - you are guilty of conspiracy to manufacture.. the thing with List-I chemicals is that anyone can legally have them IF you have a valid reason (such as an incorperated businss that has legit use) .. now, chemical suppliers often have their OWN rules and will flat our REFUSE to sell a list-I chemical in ANY AMOUNT to someone without a licence, as if you got in trouble they would too... if you exceed threashold amounts THAT is illegal in itself..
As this applies to GBL - yes, you CAN legall possess it, however, if you can'/t provbe legit use they have the right to take it from you (well, it's not worth a battle in court)..

Addendum to what Phreex and others were saying:
Correct, it is legal to buy and/or possess List I chemicals.
However, it is ILLEGAL to import them. And since most (if not all) of these GBL suppliers are foreign, it is ILLEGAL to order from them and have it shipped to you (assuming you're in the US). And the US Customs and DEA have every right to confiscate your package.
You need a DEA license to import List I chemicals.
