well i do not know the current legal staus of posseion of 5-meo-DMT right now,but in 2005 ish i know a person who legally ordered 3 1 gram vials of 99.95+% pure 5-Meo-Dmt ,from a New jersey company and they sent it my us mail here inside the US.It was labeled as for research use only not for consumption...i think selllin git would be a crime depending on it's legalabilty as of now,,however obtaining the 5-Meo -DMT for research was perfectly legal as was it's possesion for research use at least in 2005, i assume that obtaining a research chemical for research use only and not selling,distributing or takin git internally,which as it says is not for internal cinsumption,however a person my accidentaly consume some during there research and would feel the effectcs and i imagine that such an accidental consumption could not be illegal unless it was proven that someone had intentionally ingested such a chemical instead of by accident which happened to my friend and myself,,we accidently consumed some via inhalation of vopirized crytstals that we inhaled by not accurately having protective air masks on during a research session as to it's vapotization levels in a certain medium under a certain amount of air pressure coming from the opposite end of the glass testing equipment and we both accidentaly inhaled some of the concentrated vaporized crystals during the experiment process,we simply forgot proper ventillation in our busy testing procedures and we felt some effects from the substance ,but sinc ethis was purely an accident and no one would know or prove otherwise i imagine that we did not technicly brake any law as to internal consumption as it was a flaw in out operation of the equipment that led to exposure to the chemical during that time...
