Left handed Guitarists

make sure you blame him a lot for being left handed.

tell him all lefty's are retards and that he'll never amount to shit.
 
IME people in these situations always find a way to improve and get themselves comfortable with their instrument over time. A friend of mine is a lefty but cannot play a left handed guitar whatsoever.

I'd say he will learn either way if he keeps at it.
