I lie here used and empty. No, not empty exactly...full of your lies and false hopes for a future never meant to be.
I sit here stunned and alone. No, not alone exactly, because I have beautiful memories filled with falsehoods and masks to keep me company.
I stand here pissed off and crying. I want to scream at you and tell you how much you hurt me...if only for your amusement and gain.
I crumple to the floor wishing you had left me where you found me when you breathed a temporary breath of life into me...and then left me in a void to suffocate.
Enjoy the fruits of my labor. Look around you every day and be reminded of all I gave asking only your love and honesty in return. Remember my unconditional love for you...and choke on it daily.
You should have left me to die where you found me. At least I would have left this realm with my dignity in tact.

This poem is wonderful but saddens me you know i love you girl and miss you lots.

i only met you one time, but that one time you touched me enough for me to feel sad when you write things like these...

Wow! As dark as this piece was, I didn't expect this great response. You know, most people prefer poems about sunshine and puppies....haha.
Yeah, I'm swimming in the loveless abyss again, but you know, that's the chance you take when you give your heart away. Maybe some day the gamble will pay off for me.

caress, sweetie... this poem really touched me. i wrote poem upon poem upon the same thing, but it wasn't until i read this that i really took a look at myself and realized that i gave and gave and gave... and got nothing in return from this person. in a sense, he watched me die too, and he didn't care enough to do otherwise. my pain gave him pleasure... my tears made him grin. there is NOTHING in this world that justifies that. some people are just like that, heartless, and they don't deserve people like you and me, who use up their good words on painful memories.
go back and read what you wrote. you're stronger than that. learn from this... don't let any guy walk all over you. you're too good for that.
it can only get better.
