Days pass by
Gone without a trace
Sometimes there is a feeling I am out of place
But it dissolves
And leaves space
Everything rapidly disienigrating
Nothing to hold
Standing out here in the cold
Feet rooted in the earth
There is snow packed around my shoes insulating my toes
Just waiting, waiting till everything flows
My stomach expands with every breath and empty's with every exhalation
Even the breath is a sign pointing to dissolution
The air comes in at first somewhat constricted
From all the stress making the body feeling heavy and restricted
But as the chi flows through my limbs the heaviness gives way to a pulsing aliveness
Subtle energy flows through meridians and blood vessels
Nourishing the brain and organs
The breath grows longer
Each exhalation slowing down
The plastered frown gives way to natures course
The mind coarse dissolves
Every part of my body feels as if its floating held up by energy
No effort is exerted
Nothing done
No one to do it
Thoughts dance trying to claim every action
But watching I remain
The chatter begs to be intereprted
So it can pull you away to a long lost day
To revive the play and make it seem real
Its as if it wants you to believe in it, if you give it no attention
The schemes become ever more dramatic
Thoughts seem to know the patterns you like to clutch to
Like a villan the mind trys to pull you out of the moment
Whispering its devious call oh the tricks the monkey in our head will play
Just watching brings a smile to my face
Each tree shines in this place no one goes every one radiates presence
Ancient conduits of energy standing still and firm, deeply rooted in the ground
They are illustrations of how to do standing meditation
The breeze moves their limbs but they stay ever rooted
Harsh storms, flurries of rain and snow even still ever rooted
Standing in tree pose
These ancient silent ones teach without a word
Gone without a trace
Sometimes there is a feeling I am out of place
But it dissolves
And leaves space
Everything rapidly disienigrating
Nothing to hold
Standing out here in the cold
