Controversial GCHQ Unit Engaged in Domestic Law Enforcement, Online Propaganda, Psychology Research
Glenn Greenwald, Andrew Fishman

The JTRIG unit of GCHQ is so notable because of its extensive use of propaganda methods and other online tactics of deceit and manipulation. The 2011 report on the organization’s operations, published today, summarizes just some of those tactics:

Throughout this report, JTRIG’s heavy reliance on its use of behavioral science research (such as psychology) is emphasized as critical to its operations. That includes detailed discussions of how to foster “obedience” and “conformity”:

A lot of bureaucrats in the UK seem to have forgotten they work for a fallen power that is largely irrelevant except for their relationship to the US. All the child abuse coverups, and now this...

That's a bit hyperbolic.

I would say that the UK being one of only 5 states (out of 193 in total) which has veto power on the UN Security Council makes them considerably more relevant in international affairs than their relationship with the US does.

Personally, I think any country which has the power to flat out prevent the authorisation of military intervention through the traditional international framework is pretty damn relevant.

those are the professional posters, we are merely amateurs in this game :(

Doesn't mean we can't play :sus:

I hope people realize that the old saying of being critical of everything is more important now than ever.

The knowledge is out there, and when properly sourced can also be fairly reliable.

This is also why I sometimes get my panties in a wad with certain posters (none are active anymore, surprise) who are obviously trying to spread misinformation purposefully.

I see agent posts on Bluelight all the time. There is nothing I can do about it. I can't prove it. I just think there are lots of negative reports in the B&D threads that seem highly suspect. There are no drugs without trainwreck trip reports no matter how mild a substance is. This doesn't really bother me but I bet they spoof pill testing results too, that could be dangerous. They learned to not just make up new accounts either, they are putting in time posting and building rep. They have gotten pretty good at it. I am at the point where I am trying new substances and not reading the threads on them because the false info scare me and it gets in my head while tripping. You can try looking up peoples posting history and try to figure out who is legit, but I bet they make sleeper accounts that do nothing but post cool stuff until they are required for disinfo. I don't normally talk about this because it sounds crazy and paranoid, but I have no doubt THEY are here and they are not just taking notes, they are trying to disrupt.
I met the real life version of these guys when I got involved in cannabis legalization movement in Canada a few years ago. They succeeded in getting me to leave. I am no longer an activist because government agents posing as fellow activists were able to disrupt my life. I am not crazy either. It dawned on me when I flew across canada and ran into a supposedly poor med pot patient at a rally on the other side of the country and I wondered how he afforded a 700 dollar plane trip. Then I questioned how he afforded his lifestyle at all. None of it added up. So I watched him closely and I noticed one thing. Everything he touched turned to shit, he was the center of every shitstorm. When the cops raided underground events he was there. Every garden he knew about got raided. The media always likes to interview the most colorful guy at the rally and it was him, and he made us look like idiots. He turned people against each other. One person can fuck up a whole movement. The CIA did it to the panthers and chicano uprising why would the government not target us? Drug reformers have made almost no headway in 50 years. It isn't because we are stupid or we are wrong, its because our movement is being sabotaged by people with unlimited budgets. The other side plays dirty as hell.

I don't doubt the cannabis guy was working for the government. As far as bluelight goes I'm more suspect. I've been posting and observing for 10 plus years. The alphabet agency's use is for general intelligence probably. But I doubt they are taking time to become an influential poster. Then again I'm not involved in the RC scene. That's the only place I would suspect that kind of activity. Or a forum with a looser sourcing enforcement aproach.

The thing about most of the B&D threads is that they are about RCs of which little is really known.
Everybody's biochemistry is different, the sources of many of these drugs are mysterious and shady - so it is difficult to determine genuine experience reports and trolls/fools/propagandists!

I wouldn't rule out government-paid trolls on BL. It's a pretty visible informational portal for illegal substances. I doubt it's to the same level that Russian pays internet trolls but we all talk about LE watching forums--why shouldn't they be posting occasionally? And yes, some of them are the dummies that ask for heroin in their "new town," but there are smarter cops, and there is a cacophony of federal LE agencies and bureaucracies. Shit, we take everything to the most paranoid level, it might just be the Office of National Drug Control Policy creating negative stories from the grassroots just like Anslinger used to do.

Not surprised....deny disrupt ect....that's the goal. The new world order osnt new anymore lol it should just be called the order from now on, or "the world"

Funny how the first post takes a pre-emptive and pro-active defence of Glenn Greenwald. The man is Hard Left and an Anti Semite that has tripped over debunked Conspiracy Theories time and again. Labeling a PR firm a propaganda mill is oh so typical.

They use the same tactics when promoting circumcision.

One of the nutjobs who does this, Sir the Almightly Professor BRIAN lunatic MORRIS, talks about how half of intact males have problems with their genitals that require circumcision...when the facts clearly prove otherwise, it's more like half of ONE PERCENT of intact males would ever need such a drastic procedure.

In fact, there is always a convenient "excuse" when defending any violent actions by one person over someone who is less powerful. Governments do it all the time. So naturally, they will involve themselves in this shit to help promote their power.

Everything about these people is about power, the wielding thereof, or abuse thereof. And it doesn't just apply to drugs, it applies to anything where there is a "legitimate" use of force. And they will continue to use bullshit arguments to protect their "right" to wield such force, over any cross section of society that brings them a sense of power with the bonus of money rolling in.

I wouldn't put it past posterity that some people enjoy inflicting pain and suffering onto others less powerful than them. I've just illustrated one example, and of course, in keeping with the topic, this also applies to the drug war - because that, too, is involved with the wielding of power when it is clearly unjustified, but can be "explained away" by carefully chosen sound bites.

Well u can say what u want about Glenn greenwald but he adds a ton of credibility to this post IMO. I would've just laughed it off otherwise, and I've got some schitzo in me so that's sayin something lol...
