Layer in foil inside pipe to keep it clean? DMT

I am concerned about the pipe (oops oil burner lol) being made dirty and stained by DMT. So I thought maybe if I placed a layer of foil inside the bowl before the DMT is dished out, it could save the pipe as the stains would then be on the (disposable) foil rather than on the glass. Is this a practical idea and has anyone does this.. or what other methods should I be looking at if I want my glass unscathed by this exercise?? :D
 
The smell would never go away.
Go to a gas station and buy a cheap bowl. I bought a steam roller just for DMT. I smoke pot with my DMT too so it smells like pot and DMT.
DMT smells awful though.
 
I thought mixing pot and DMT is a no no as it dulls the experience?
See I thought the smell was due to the residue left on the glass. The stem was also a little stained (from condensing vapours) so it could've come from that now I think of it.

Never had a problem mixing DMT and pot.
I've done it together and alone well over 100 times. I've noticed the trip is a little more 'foggy' with pot.
 
I'd seriously occasionally wash the pipe with acetone instead of trying to sacrifice other materials like foil for the condensation.
 
While freebasers everywhere might disagree, I dislike using foil. Aluminum foil is not an inert substrate, hot foil may have a catalytic effect on the decomposition of some substances. Coating on the foil may volatilize as well. Stick to glass in my opinion.
 
Even if aluminium can act as a catalyst, the exposed surface area would be rather limited wouldn't it?

I agree about oils though, choreboy is a lot worse in that respect - you have to burn the hell out of that before all the smoking oil clears out. To each their own and I am not particularly fond of foil either, but choreboy for DMT is vastly superior to anything else because it allows for very even distribution of heat and it acts as a carrier because melting DMT can spread all over the metal instead of dripping or burning.
