and the biggest thing i could ever do,
was to never lay eyes on you.
because i would stop a world of heartache for me, for you.
anyway, it doesn't mattter to you.
you don't have a heart, you told me so.
you told me that numerous times.
and instead of believing you...
i told you i would repair yours,
'the little you have left'
you said good luck.
and i need alot more than luck
to repair all of this.
because instead of one missing heart,
now.... there's two.
and i hear every sound this pencil makes
as i mark my words that you don't hear,
as i write on my guitar.
i need it for stability.
for my life, or something else to write on.
because all i have is this piece of paper.
and it's hard to write, when you've got nothing to write on.
i was going to use it for something else tonight, to sing you a song.
one you like, so very much.
i spent the whole day playing and singing just to get it right.
but i guess there's never enough time for anything, perhaps because we don't allow it.
we let other things take over.
and as i talk to you while you are on the other phone- be tough to me, as tough as you can be.
but just remember that i am as tough as nails.
go ahead, call me when you wake up.
and soon, you'll hang up the phone...
with me, with them.
you'll eventually be alone,
if you keep acting this way.
