Stop resisting!
Mark Gold, the lawyer who founded and owns the Ticket Clinic firm, found himself so drunk at the Goldrush strip club in downtown Miami back in 2010 that he wound up charging nearly $19,000 to his credit card. He ended up suing Goldrush, and claimed they never should have accepted his money and purposefully got him sloshed. Now he's amended that lawsuit, and claims that Goldrush dancers also spiked customers' drinks with crushed Xanax. He also claims that the practice extends to sister clubs King of Diamonds and the Pink Pony.

Gold claims that dancers at the clubs crush up anti-anxiety drugs like Xanax into clients' drinks (though, there's no evidence in the suit supporting this claim). Once customers are high and drunk, Gold's lawsuit claims that they are coerced into putting large charges on their credit card.

The suit claims that customers are basically held hostage in the VIP room by strippers, and that even the friends they came with are forbidden by bouncers to contact their friend in the VIP room. Gold believes that strippers are paid upwards of $1,000 per hour to keep the customer in the VIP room while hefty charges are being added to this bill. Customers are secretly photographed signing their credit card statements in case any of them try to dispute the charges later.

Putting Xanax in peoples drinks probably would cause them to spend more money, but making the claim with absolutely no evidence doesn't really say much. If you don't want to be coerced into putting large charges on your credit card why the fuck are you at a strip club in the first place?

Don't take a CC with the ability to spend so much (to a strip club) next time. There are cards with changeable limits here. You're a lawyer, what's 19 K anyway.

If I drunk a shit load and had xanax in my drinks i'm pretty sure i'd pass out unconscious, unless I had some stims or something else to keep me walking and talking.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised to find out this was happening, but without evidence the charge is meaningless.

The dude runs the "ticket clinic firm", I highly doubt he's a high-rolling lawyer. Most lawyers don't make enough money to make 19K seem insignificant, unless they're a partner in a big firm. I would guess that 19K represents a good 1/3 of his income for the year.

Fair enough the lawyers I have dealt with have been very expensive and all seem to drive very good cars. aww poor guy then. lol

i could see this happening but idk how this guy thinks this unless he drug tested himself maybe. maybe there are other cases of it happening and he has talked to other individuals that it happened to since hes a lawyer.

Yeah who knows, maybe he's trying to make excuses for blowing 19 k?

The Ticket Clinic is one of the first law firms in the nation to concentrate on defending those persons charged with any traffic offense from speeding to suspended license and DUI.

Since 1987 the lawyers at the Ticket Clinic have defended over 1,000,000 traffic offenses. If you have been charged with any traffic offense, or your license has been suspended or revoked, The Ticket Clinic may be able to help you get back on the road.

If he runs the company and has 16 offices and has been going since 1987, if he's not making decent money then I think there's something wrong.

Well that proves he could obviously afford this...with no evidence, he should've just learned his lesson. I mean, I know 19k is a lot of money and I've never been to a strip club but I'm pretty sure most if not all people understand going in that they are attending to blow money...

Xanax is one of the, if not the worst tasting pharmaceuticals I've ever had. I can't imagine someone wouldn't notice that their drink was horribly bitter, which it would be if Xanax was in it. Dude must have been trashed to spend so much money, I can barely imagine how one could blown that much cash in one night, but I've never been to a strip club either.

he's making himself look like a chump

even if he tested positive for xanax how would he ever prove this

with his job, he shouldn't be crying about blowing 20 racks while wasted

we all blackout sometimes, even off amounts we wouldn't expect

Exactly, shit happens.
This guy seems to be making too big of a stink about this, considering the lack of proof.
Don't get me wrong, I understand that he's probably livid over this event.
But someone in his position should really know better...
