Lasting Damage From RC's

I think everyone is curious as to any ill consequences from infrequent, or frequent use of research chemicals, whether it be 2c's, tryptamines, stims, mdma type, whatever.

Was it the frequency? a specific drug/type of drug? ROI?

I've become delightfully and in a freeing way much more aloof from frequent drug use. when people complain about me I just give them some hippie level philosophy and keep to my day and good vibes. I used to be stubborn and self destructive but that angst just isn't there when you realize that nothing really matters anyways. When you see through empty meditative eyes and realize we are simply what we are.

There hasn't been any damage by my definition but vast and undeniable change for sure!

I might be depressed and far less philosophical if it weren't for drugs.

My actual eyesight feels like it has gotten worse and more scrambled and more labored since I was younger but I think constant marijuana use is the main culprit for that problem.

This is an extremely broad topic. "Research chemicals" are just drugs.

Dissociatives and stimulants have probabaly the most conclusive proof of "ill consequences". "MDMA type" have a decent amount of evidence of brain harm under certain circumstances.

As for psychedelics, (common) tryptamines appear quite safe even at high doses, and phenethylamines seem to have a higher risk of overdose. Many more are not well studied, but there is also no proposed action by which they could cause lasting damage.

There was a similar thread on here, maybe half a year ago. I tried looking for it, but with no success.
Maybe someone else know where it is.

This topic comes up every few months. It's understandably a common concern among RC users.

I've used 2C-I, 2C-E, 4-aco-dmt and various synthetic cannabinoids, and I haven't noticed any lasting side effects.

there is just way too much variance person to person.
look at the different versions of 'lasting damage' from non-rc substances.

no long lasting effects as far as i can tell, but lately have been noticing a ton of movement (on the lens or visual static) recently when i smoke weed. not necessarily a good thing, but its pretty cool. :D have been using somewhat frequently though.

i dont doubt that if i took a break from psychs, RCs, or drugs in general it would entirely go away.

some one should big and dandy this topic sometime, it comes up often enough.

Most users except the odd horror story will only claim HPPD at worst.

and it is as such, a russian roulette, most people who take drugs never notice any changes in their life but the people who do see a change or damage or psychological upheaval it is very apparent to them.

I think many glorify the change in perception and therefore take it in as good a way as possible. the change may not always be "damage". When a muscle tears to become larger in hypertrophy is that necessarily "damage"? in a way yes, in another way it's really beneficial!

The changes that come from tripping are irreversible but many would contest that they are beneficial, even the ability to lose focus is a virtue to the man who is to stressed.
