Great movie. Back to old school spine tingling. What isn't there is, without a doubt more frightening than what is.
Watch it on your own in a darkened room for maximum effect
I went to the cinema yesterday to see Edmond. An old film, but for some reason they're showing it at one of my favourite cinemas this week. Anyway, I liked the look of the cast and decided to go as a spur of the moment kinda thing.
I really enjoyed the story. And loved the snowballing catastrophes that kept unfolding. But in all honesty, I felt little sympathy for Macy's character. I could empathise with him, to a certain degree, but he just seemed like a twat. And Julia Stiles annoyed me a fair bit too. But then, she usually does.
The highlight performance was probably Mena Suvari (looking hawt as a brunette too I might add). And a sneaky appearance from Madonna's old pal Debbie Mazar made me smile too. I've become a bit of a *hush hush* fan after seeing her in one too many of those trashy type movies she usually stars in. But most of the other performances seemed like little more than cameos as Macy took up much of the screen time. That wouldn't normally be an issue, but I felt there were other characters that could have been explored a bit more.
