very niiice!

:D

Half Nelson

great film. character-driven and kinda unique.

Plot Outline: An inner-city junior high school teacher with a drug habit forms an unlikely friendship with one of his students after she discovers his secret.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0468489/

The Prestige. One of the better movies I've seen in a while. Bowie was great.

Clerks 2. I loved it. What can I say? I like toilet humor and Kevin Smith dialog.

The Virgin Suicides Pretty good. Definitely one of the more odd plotlines I've seen. Beautifully shot, however.

^^ best soundtrack ever, air FTW!! (ok maybe not best, that a big call :))

i just watched Primer, and will be posting any comments in its thread

Death of a president...

meh, I was expecting so much more...

The first few hours were intense, than it got boring...

So much potential... Anybody else expecting an invasion of Syria/ cut with war clips...

3/5

Grandma's Boy

It was pretty funny. I swear though, some of the people in the movie reminded me of some of the people of Bluelight.=D

Mary Antoinette

I was pretty disappointed by it actually. I love Sofia Coppola's other two movies but this one seemed to be lacking something. I really liked the soundtrack though. I thought it worked well for some strange reason. And I was expecting that to bother me the most.

Anyway, I don't think they built the characters up enough for you to care that much about them. The only character I REALLY liked was, Comptesse du Barry, Asia Argento's a character. There was some nice shots (as usual) and a great cast. But it left me feeling a bit bored really :\

The Matador - excellent idea, piss-poor execution... the actors tried really hard to make the lines believable, but the film was beyond their collective reaches.

so the fam and i did a quick getaway this weekend, and spent the night at a nice resort in orlando, with the plan to go to universal the next day.

can't tell you how happy i am that it was storming like god was pissed...we did a movie instead. we saw "Meet the Robinson's" in 3-D and it has to be the best animated ever.
disney movies have always charmed me with their sweet inspirational messages, and this one was the best yet.

in the beginning, they played the first disney flick ever in 3-D, first time in the theaters since 54 and it was adorable.

def take the favorite kid in your life to see this one.

I agree. This film skimmed a thin layer of thought for me, but failed to make any significant impact. The opening scene is particularly cheesy (when Dunst licks some icing and acknowledges the camera).

Although visually it was engaging.

300 - what I expected (which wasn't much). Remember, the bad guys are all camp or crippled ;)

And before that, Pan's Labyrinth, which was very good, but not great. Possibly one of the best of the year, but I didn't find it as ground-breakingly fantastic as many seemed to.
