I'm totally pissed I still haven't read the book.

sat wifey through her first screening of EYES WIDE SHUT

this film gets just better and better with each viewing, and being as how the last time i saw it i was on acid, that's saying a lot. fancyfresh was glued to the screen from start to finish.

you know, lefty i remember seeing it once and being bored to tears....but i admire your view on films, so i will add it to my netflix queue to try again

I stuck Enter The Dragon on last night with the intention of being taken on a magical journey of nostalgia. However, it got to the scene where Brucey baby was about to taunt that guy on the row boat and I found my eyes were getting rather heavy. Needless to say, I ended up turning it off.

Classic %)

from Kentucky Fried Movie

a fantastic film made up of awesome and outrageous skits directed by john landis. The main skit is an Enter the Dragon parody called "A Fistful of Yen". The riotous ending of which you'll never ever see coming.

on Sunday night HBO......meh. It was okay....Sarah Jessica Parker ruins it in my opinion. She is completely unable to break out of her Sex and the City character, which meant that when she was acting uptight, it seemed completely unbelievable, and you just want to strangle her horsey neck.

The last film I watched was (unfortunately) Borat. Have you ever seen a movie you could unwatch? I never had until borat. When an obscenely fat naked man is being chased down the hall with a rubber fist, enough said.

Pieces Of April

I watched this for around the fourth time last night:

I was beginning to think that Katie Holmes was building some kind of credibility after doing this AND Go. But then she went and spoilt it by shacking up with Tom Cruise...argh :\

Anyway, it's kind of become one of my favourite films. Katie Holmes is great as the wayward April, but it's Patricia Clarkson who steals the show (imo) as her dying mother, Joy. I think the main reason for this, besides her being a wonderful actress, is that she doesn't play the character sympathetically. She's incredibly strong, and refuses to play along with her overbearing family who insist on fussing over her every minute of the day. There's also a really nice soundtrack that goes along with it with some beautiful songs that I just can't get enough of.

no, as a matter of fact, i just went into the living room to check on him and he is standing up, so all better!! fever is gone, yay! that was quick, 30 minutes ago he was still hot.

funny story, sorry for the derail, but the hubby slept on the couch with him last night, and thismorning when i went out there, i saw vomit in the bucket and asked my husband how many times he got sick, to which he replied none....well, turns out it was cat vomit. the cat vomited in the bucket. :D

LOL!

Cats always think everything's for them =D

And no worries at all about 'derailing'. I sometimes think that people are too afraid to go slightly off topic in this forum. I certainly don't mind it creeping into threads now and again. I for one like to know how people are doing. And I don't think we should rely on the PM system alone for that :\

Glad to hear your baby's OK btw :)
