Last movie you watched?

king kong...didn't finish watching the ending (had to go return it before midnight...)...but i liked what i saw :)

Memoirs of a Geisha

The cinematography alone is excellent. The acting, story, and character development were also well executed. I recommend, if you're into that kind of film.

Layer Cake....... excellent movie, highly recommended :D

godfather trilogy on amc
i've been watching these too.

Godfather I and II are two of the most perfect movies that have ever been made. Having seen them so many times and having been subjected to years of pop culture references, it is sometimes hard to step back and watch them objectively, but damn, there are so many beautiful things and rich characters in these flicks that it's impossible not to be struck with the brilliance of it all at least on some level. The thing that struck me last night as I was watching the second film was Hyman Roth's speech about Mo Green and how it carries the subtext and tension so well.

^^^Word. I actually have seen Godfather 1 and II numerous times on DVD....and I've also seen Godfather III on VCD for the sake of closure (eeeew lol) . Awful movie, but andy garcia was wonderful.
Last movie I saw was the Incredibles (2nd time) on the Disney Channel. Excellent!

Eraserhead - I couldn't figure out what everyone sees in the movie. I've heard so many people say it's a movie you have to see, but I couldn't even finish the movie.

The last few movies I've seen have been for class....

The Laramie Project - the HBO version
I thought this rendition of the play was absolutely terrible. I might have been the only one in the class that thought so though.. :\

Friends
A South African film about interracial friendships during their violent struggle.
I thought this film was rather confusing but did its job in enlightening me of the issues each of these races had to face.

Rabbit Proof Fence
Set in 1931, this movie tells the true story of 3 (what they called) half-caste girls (all under the age of 12) in Australia escaping their Western Settlement and walking over 1500 miles back home.
Reflecting back, this was one of the *best* movies I've seen in years. It gave me some much needed perspective of how things really are for certain people around the world. I can't imagine having their kind of spirit to walk all that way.
