better than ever

^You mean you watched it on acid? =D

I watched Welcome To Collinwood:

The main reason I wanted to see it is because I really love Patricia Clarkson. She just adds a touch of brilliance to everything she does. The film itself was a bit shit. But hey, late night TV usually is.

It started off pretty good, but it kind of lost momentum somewhere along the line. tbh I got a bit restless, but found myself clinging on until the end just for the sake of seeing what happens.

3/5

i watched southland tales:

(un)fortunately, i was very baked and fell asleep before the end. i was enjoying it immensely up to that point.

^I was actually just about to post this movie! I enjoyed it thoroughly. Not crazy about some of the casting, but to me it was the most hard-hitting movie since Fight Club. I am in the process of acquiring the graphic novel lead up. I have been telling everyone I know to watch this movie.

Just watched Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - fucking hilarious!

Then I watched Beetlejuice :).

God I own too many movies!

Fucking Åmål (A.K.A Show me Love)

This was pretty good. It started to lose pace a bit mid-way through, but it soon picked up again and I ended up really enjoying it.

My Summer Of Love

Yes, you've guessed it. I'm systematically working my way through the entire lesbo film genre. ;)

For some reason I was already dismissing it before it even started. Maybe because I generally don't seem to enjoy British films that often. But in any case, I found the whole thing rather captivating, charming, and sexy. And the strong performances by the two leads was the icing on the cake.

Another good one selected at random. :)

I saw about half of You, Me, and Everyone We Know. It was pretty much run-of-the-mill cliche and super cheesy.

I've been unable to watch a lot of movies recently. I'll start them off and be completely shaking my head and just decide to do something else.

Another recent one was My Blueberry Nights, which is probably one of the worst movies in filmkind.

I've got some DVDs pending, like Southland Tales and Solo Con Tu Pareja.

to be fare, ive only watched about half of it, and had to shut the movie off or i was not going to get enough sleep before work ... but from what i watched i was enjoying myself so far ... we shall see how it turns out later today

before that though the last movie i watched all the way through was The Matrix Reloaded

I hope you're kidding L2R. Though I'm not in the "best movie of all time hands down and don't tell me otherwise" camp for Casablanca I still see how well-done it is. Just because there aren't flying ninjas or crazy colorful bombs in the background doesn't mean it isn't a good film. I'm sure you don't think that's the only thing that makes for a good movie but honestly, modernity doesn't equate to good filmmaking.
