sometimes i wish
i had the ability to
take the image i have of you
and blow it up
to ten times ten times ten
times larger than life
and make you see
yourself
how i see you
my light in my dark little
corner.
reliability isn't my strong suit
i switch emotions with
such a swiftness
most people
lose track
you hold on
and have held on for longer than most
you always have this way of
keeping your eye on my motions
a smile faked is noticed
a shaky hand aknowledged
a nervous laugh betrays me
and my mask is
useless
my emotions brilliantly on
display
(but only for you)
if i could
i would paint you
shades of blues and greys
and larger than life
and somewhere in the background
there i would be
staring up
because to me
you are larger...greater
and worth more
than any silly word
picture
or phrase.
 
this is absolutely amazing. i went through something like this. i held this boy up so high, that even when he came crashing down in front of me, several times i may add, i always made excuses for him and built him back up again. it took a truly amazing guy to come around for me to finally realize how truly un-amazing the blown up one was....

The people who know when we're acting are the most important people to hold onto. And the people who we don't want to do our act in front of, are the people who matter.

^^^ my goodness i know this feeling EXACTLY. The love of my life is one of the most AMAZING, smart, funny, adorable people i have ever met. One thing is he doesn't see it at all. It saddens me. He has gotten himself into predicaments throughout his life that have made him feel worthless, stupid, unconfident. I do know that since we have been together (about 2 years) he has gotten much better...i guess its b/c i see so much when i look at him, i see so much he NEVER sees in himself. So much beauty and wit. I only hope one day he can see himself half as beautiful as i see him right now. *sighs*
