Ladasten for anxiety?

Hey,

I've read that Ladasten (ладастен/bromantane) is useful for anxiety, but I haven't heard any firsthand reports of it. Can anyone vouch for it?

Also, would it be safe/beneficial to take it with alprazolam? I'm prescribed alprazolam, but I like to take less than the recommended dose so I don't develop a tolerance. Xanax withdrawal is the worst, and I tend to avoid it by taking only half my dose when I'm not having anxiety attacks. Maybe stacking another anxiolytic with it could help me stay completely relaxed, without taking the full (and addictive) dose.

OP, thank you for tipping me off to another bizarro soviet pharmaceutical. it's always so interesting to see some of the stuff they came up with over there. i've never heard of this before, sounds like it's maybe kicking around the nootropic community like comrade pharmaceutical phenibut? wikipedia says it's a serotonin and dopamine reuptake inhibitor, no idea how that stacks up against western stims and ADs in terms of effect, duration, dependence liability. so maybe just try a standard dose once and see how you feel? you don't have to go crazy with it. if you feel messed up or off, just stop. i don't think it would hurt to combine xanax or any other benzo, might even enhance the effects? good luck! i know what i'll be reading about this afternoon.

edit: can i post a link? this seems like the best summary for non-Russian speakers: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=198417

well methamp is a triple releaser SE NE DA IIRC, d-amp/amp/racemic mostly DA NE, MPH DRNI. AD usally SSRI, SNRI, DRNI (wellbutrin).

now SDRI, that may actually be interesting. Though with a DRI, the effects kind of suck compared to a DRNI (like d-EPH for example vs racemic EPH). I can't think of any SRIs though that aren't selective of course. But i'd say it'd be better as a stimulant than for anxiety. Probably has some recreational value to it.

A benzo wouldn't hurt, probably would enhance the effects but if you're treating anxiety anyway, why not just stick to benzos? Though an SDRI could help with the side effects from benzos like apathy, depression, lethargy, cognitive fog.

I'd say it'd probably feel like a mild MDMA/meth pill without as much stimulation and probably far less recreational. Though cocaine is a DNRI, it also releases serotonin i think, maybe it's a SRI i can't remember. I'll have to look into it as well, sounds interesting anyway.

even if you take lower doses of alprazolam daily you'll still get dependent anyway, but if this helps anxiety in such a way that you don't have to take it daily, then that's a good thing.
