Hello everyone, it's my first post :)
I need your help as I have a problem with few substances.

1. benzodiazepines - I have tried bromazepam 12mg twice and etizolam 1mg once, felt no effects at all.
2. GBL - I have probably drunk at least 50ml of this substance, starting from 1ml and increasing the doses up to 3ml, never felt any effects except from headaches, dizzyness and vomiting. You might ask why I drunk so much GBL if I never felt the effects. The reason is simple - I was told that I will feel the effects after a few times so I kept trying always hoping that I will finally feel it. Unfortunately it didn't work (I drinked it once or twice a week usually) so I just gave up. It worked really well for my friends who took much smaller doses.
3. GHB - I also tried GHB for a few times, starting from 2g and increasing doses up to 4g, and the effects were just the same as with GBL. And here again, I'm sure the stuff was ok because my friends felt it.
4. alcohol - sometimes it works for me too strong, sometimes it just doesn't at all. One day I could drink let's say 300ml of vodka and feel absolutely nothing, another day I might be completely drunk, but it happens rarely.

5. mixes:
mix 1: GBL/GHB with alcohol - I felt just the alcohol.
mix 2: bromazepam 18mg + alcohol (around 300ml vodka and 2 red bulls) - felt completely sober.

Is it a problem with my metabolism or GABA receptors?
I think so, because all of the substances are taken orally and they're all GABAergics.
Is there any way to find out what is the reason? Can I make these substances work as they should somehow?
Thanks.

I believe that people with no anxiety issues will really not benefit from benzos. Before I developed bade anxiety, I did not really feel anything from benzos until I took way too much, and then I just blacked out with a nasty hangover the nexy morning. The effects can be sublte with benzos, unless you know what you are looking for.

Whne it comes to alcohol and gbl/ghb, I have no idea why you don't feel anything. Everyone's body reacts different to drugs, and maybe your's just doesn't work well with gaba actin drugs.

Okay, thanks for your answer.
I tried looking on the internet but couldn't find any info on GBL or GHB not working. I can't believe I'm the only one who is resistant to this substance, there must be someone who nows what's the cause. :)

I used GBL around 1-2 times a week, just in the weekends. Then just switched to GHB at the same frequency. Additionally I drunk alcohol at the same frequency, usually few hours after the GBL.

Its pretty unlikly tolerence, I used GBL in the past and 3 to 5ml makes me blackout and hallucinate wierd things while unconscious. This guy took 50ml and claim no effect from it.

OP, dont you feel at least threshould effect ? I would say if you are not exaggerating your problem and dont feel anything from any of these substances, you are probably have problem beyond tolerance and nobody else then a doctor could diagnose something for you over the internet.

^He didn't claim to have used 50ml in one dose. But 3ml would knock me out for sure, I begin to nod around the 2ml mark.

It doesn't seem to be tolerance, unless the effects faded over time (but it seems OP never got effects out of them at all). Must be something with your gaba system I'd say (but I'm no doctor!), as you do get overdose symptoms (vomiting) which probably wouldn't happen if your metabolism just ripped apart the drugs. Sadly enough, you can't just go to a doctor and ask "hey, I get no effects from benzos and GHB, can you check if something's wrong with my gaba receptors?". Would love to live in a world where that's possible, but we're not there yet.

Exactly, I meant I have drunk over 50ml overall. Usually the dose was about 2.5 ml and then 1ml after half an hour.
I have never felt any effects at all, just sometimes I felt really bad physically, vomited a few times and felt dizzy, etc., as I said before.
I have used SSRI for about 2 years and withdrawed it about 1.5 years ago if it helps.
It is so just wrong, because I think GBL is relatively "safe" substance, comparing it to some other drugs, and the effects seem to be really interesting for me. I think it would be my "drug of choice" if it only worked ;)

@BIGsherm7272: In fact, I have some anxiety issues, I would call it a social anxiety. I hoped mixing BZD with alcohol would help me be more social, but it didn't work at all. In fact, it made me even more sober than after just drinking the alcohol.

I will try @napoleonbonaparta's method soon, when I get all the supplements :)

I agree with everything what @Chikkenstorm said. I must add that when I was on SSRI the alcohol worked really as it should, even sometimes too hard (you know, a few beers and I'd blackout). I'm not sure how long after stopping the therapy, but I think about half a year, maybe one year later it became like this (it still does work sometimes, it's like russian roulette).

Even if you take the 50ml of GBL within 5hours... GBL is metabolise to GHB within 5/10 minutes. If you say you took 50ml during a period of 24h ... then I dont know, meaby you have tolerance and took to must time between redosing. Anyway GBL is much more potent than GHB, its more potent by volumes and is metabolised MUCH faster, the effect is felt within 10/15 minutes.

I would not really go further with Benzodiazepine because their effect is subtle.

Not feeling alcohol even after 2-3 beer is not normal unless you say no im strong I dont feel the effect of alcohol unless I drink 8 which is impossible. I feel the effect after 1 beer, its threshold but it can be felt. Even with tolerance when I was alcoholic a few years ago. 2-3 beers gave me an effect.

If you are honest you have other problem then tolerance.
