We don't call it on the dole, we call it unemployment. Dole carries a negative connotation here of some charity for beggars.
I am not on the dole. I have a BA in English and had almost finished my masters in Linguistics when I was laid off after teaching 5 years.
I stopped counting how many jobs I applied for once I reached 300. It made me suicidal.

The bankers and the government in America are the worst gangsters that have ever walked this earth. Racism has gotten better for the average American. Our kids all go to school together and we live and work together, no matter what color we are. MLK jr taught us a lot, before they shot his head off. But his message never reached the richest people in America. Guess what? The richest people in America are WHITE. Thank God for Oprah anyway.
The rest of the "wealthy" Black people in America get their checks signed by the TRULY wealthy: white fucks. White fucks that have reaped the benefits of 300 years of free labor.
That worked for them. We are headed back in that direction.
Slavery is definitely on it's way back to America. Most certainly. I have an education, experience, and I had a wonderful time teaching. I miss it every day.
Now the only jobs I can get are volunteer jobs.
VOLUNTEER? That is purely semantics used to disguise the word SLAVE. Obama is a slave too, make no mistake. He hasn't done a single god damn thing since he started. Why?

My four grown kids all have college degrees and are working for minimum wage, and one son says it looks like lay offs are coming to his office this summer. They only have half their crew left as it is, everyone else was laid off last summer.
I know England is different than the U.S., but we are both in the same goddam titanic and instead of using wealth and resources to help people, "they" give us antidepressants and benzos and send us all home. Go die painlessly, the sooner the better, and the poorer, the sooner. And so we die.

There are SO many deaths like Whitney and Michael's that don't get reported because of society's snotty attitude about drug users.
Someone somewhere, the "they" we never see, gives us the drugs that cause the deaths then labels the dead as drug addicts and not worth two cents to begin with.
People in the U.S. die from prescriptions all the fucking time then get posthumously headbutted for taking drugs. Is it like that in England?
