l-theanine&Alcohol can you mix the two?

Would also like to know the answer to this? I'm guessing it isn't a problem but would it have any interesting effects like when you mix l-theanine with caffeine?

Would there be any negative effects from mixing alcohol with an amino acid?? Common sense tells me no, but I don't have any technical knowledge to back that up.

I found this thread about it, according to some medical studies, and a lot of personal opinion on forums you will get drunk twice as fast (which for me is definitely a good thing). It has also been shown to reduce damage on the liver AND reduce hangovers. All bloody good stuff if you ask me. Not much information on doses or when to take it though.

I had 25mg dhea, about 350 saw palmetto, 800mcg folic acid, 250mg of trans-resveratrol this morning at 8am. 13 hours later I had a 3mg melatonin after a single 25 (?) oz Rolling Rock beer. about 2-3 hours later upon wakeup, I was awake about 30 minutes and then had a 100mg L-Theanine on a mostly empty stomach. I was fine, couldn't get to sleep still after about an hour or slightly extra and downed another Rolling Rock beer of the same size in about 15 minutes or less. Honestly, I had no problems at all as far as this goes. Still having difficulty sleeping, but only because I feel it is necessary to be awake for an appointment I will never make because of my determination that at its current tiredness it will not process the information. The tiredness is mainly brought on by me trying to force myself to sleep out of thought of necessity to do so for supposed important things. Otherwise, I was full of energy last night and had I stayed awake, I'd likely of been alright enough, BUT nighttime somehow keeps demanding sleep ...

By the way, you folks are welcome fore some actual dern numbers now! .. ; According to 'my' body anyway ; p
