Retired Never Was, Coulda been wannabe
I've got three comments for those that care
1) We have in the guidelines (in fact, we've always had) a "no bumping" rule. We understand wanting your event to stay at the top of page one, but filling a thread with empty replies simply to keep it at the top is not appreciated. Furthermore, did you know you can hit the "Thread" atop the thread titles and the forum will sort all the events for you, by location :D This way, you get all the events in any given city in the date-order which they will occur. This means it is only one click to see everything past, current, and coming for your city or the ones near you. Just a reminder, so please, let's not continue the bumpage.
2) I've never guestlisted for any event, though I've been offered many times. From my perspective, I know how hard the promoters and movers/shakers work to get these events going. So I insist on paying my way to help support the scene. Maybe it only brings in an extra 10-20 dollars from the door, but that's a little more to help a good event and enable more of them in the future. I'll always pay my way and help the scene, that's just my perspective.
3) Kick assss lineup - hope those that go have an awesome time. Drama free, kicking beats, and a night of friends and dancing until you can't dance no more. Enjoy it.
