Kratom is a plant. It is most commonly bought as a crushed leaf.
It is legal pretty much everywhere except Thailand.
Depends on what you consider expensive. A dose cost me around $4. It costs more than weed but less than most other drugs per dose.
It feels like an opiate, but can be a stimulant at lower doses. 12 grams of commercial bali kratom makes me feel nice and relaxed. It's good for a chill evening. It also makes sleep strange for me, but in a good way.

It is not legal in many parts of the world. However it is easy to obtain either over the internet or in head shops shops in locations where it is legal.
The reason I ask is because I've seen some threadson here about it and some say that it gives a feeling similar to opiates..
Man, if this were true.. I hope it is.. I'm going to try and find some..
I take anywhere from 20 to 120 mgs. of hydro/oxy and would love to find something like this "Kratom" and hop right on the wagon..

It doesn't just give a feeling like opiates, it actually is an opioid in its own right. Kratom contains mitragynine and more importantly 7-hydroxymitragynine which is a very potent MU agonistic. (about 20x stronger than morphine if memory serves though in small amounts in kratom)
That being said it probably won't get you high if you have that much of an oxy habit but it should help you from being sick.
