Kratom withdrawal, what to do?

I have had a Kratom habit for almost about 4 months. Its ruining my life and living in fear if the package will come on time, and wasiting half my check to buy it just isn't a life to live like. I have experience Kratom withdrawals and it sucks. Wrestles legs, gold hot chills, the worst of it all though is depression. Cant sit and play a video game without needing to get up and move around, or worry about things that I shouldn't be focusing on.

How long do Kratom withdrawals last? It just feels helpless when it happens, it feels like I NEED it or there is no getting better. I'm tired of being depressed and fearing the worst.

Can anyone recommend what to do for the withdrawals? Everyone says "oh take xanax or a benzo" and I can't. I cant take anything that requires a prescription. I just want to get past this dark side and get better, and live my life without being dependent on something.

Thanks all for taking the time to help.

You asked how much longer, how long have you been in withdrawals? How long since you stopped taking it? How much do you normally take per day?

You will find a ton of info on opiate/opioid withdrawals here at BL..check it out..especially the threads specifically on that. Kratom acts similar to opiates/opioids and the withdrawals are pretty much the same. Also, you are correct..you sure don't want to pick up a benzo habit as that would be even worse!

Don't use benzos to get off kratom. Whoever told you that was retarded. While not very euphoric they are physically addictive on a whole 'nother level. You might get addicted to benzos and kratom in the process too.

If you answer missmeyet? maybe we can help you out a bit on where to go from here. I hate giving advice to anyone and not knowing the whole situation. Kratom habits can vary greatly among people and their sensitivities.

Get some marijuana, that should take the edge off things. I've suffered from restless leg syndrome in the past, and I found that standing up for an hour or so helped quite a bit.

I am recently coming off a year long Kratom habit of 20-25 grams per day. Initially I was going to try to kick it cold turkey but the withdrawal symptoms were absolutely horrible so I decided to try tapering. To my surprise, a quick taper went a long way to mitigate the withdrawal. I'm on day 9 and am down to 2 grams a day and feel minimal discomfort. Anyway, good luck on getting and staying clean my friend!

I'm on day 2 of no Kratom. I'm so messed up, it's hard to know what to expect. I only took Kratom for abou 10 days, but this was to aid in tramadol withdrawal. I took about 180 tramadol in 7 days. This was to avoid withdrawals from 165 Norco which lasted 8 days. I'm not sure what to do next. I have 5 days left before my next prescription refill for tram and Norco. If the Kratom withdrawal kicks in, I'm most likely going to get more to last me until Monday, when I can get my prescription drugs. I would really like to be free of this cycle. This is the 3rd month where this pattern has continued. I feel pretty deep in it right now and am not sure which path to take. Reading these posts has helped me to realize I have big problems. I would love some help, but am not sure where to turn.
Anyway, back on topic, I tapered Kratom for 10 days. 56 grams bali a day, decreasing daily, down to 6, then none. I'm on day 2 of nothing and my mind just feels a little bored.

I'm weak. I just got enough Kratom to last until my refill:( interesting, I didn't take anything yesterday, and I slept for about 18 hours. I felt down all morning until I had Kratom this afternoon. Now I feel good. Oh well.

Wow! I do not remember writing any of that. I'm off of everything now. I just had to ween slowly, and really look at my life. That's one thing withdrawals are good for. A lot of time to analyze ones self, and face your demons. I also went to a good psychiatrist to resolve some problems, and diagnose a problem which I didn't realize I had.

But anyway, the key to eliminating Kratom was to wean, and I also started a strict exercise regimen. Eat good food to fuel your body, and it's amazing what exercise can do, you can feel a change in yourself in just a couple gym sessions or runs/walks.

It's been almost a year. I quit tramadol. I do take benzos now, along with lyrica or gabapentin. Still on the norco. 165 10mg last me 5 days. It may be time to talk to my doctor. I'm in excruciating pain most of the time.
The kratom withdrawal was minimal due to a proper taper.
