Opioids Kratom Users - How much does brand / vendor differ in quality?

I only tried Kratom once and I forget who I ordered from but got an ounce from some source online and,

my overall experience was entirely negative with suicidal thoughts, etc.

I'm kinda thinking I prejudged Kratom as a whole because I got a shitty batch from a cheap vendor.

So those who have tried many different Kratom brands and strains, does it make a big difference? Have you ever gotten a terrible batch so to speak?

Yeah ive gotten weak batches.

Ive also gotten batches of the same strain of the same vendor that caused terrible nausea in one particular batch.

Sometimes i wonder if they mix it all up and call one a certain strain and one another when its all the same. I bet that is possible since the grinding occurs almost exclusively in Asia. Not saying i actually believe that however.

I got yellow Bali and used it for 3 days before bed. For those 3 days I would wake up with an insane pounding in my head and terrible vomiting, my stomach would constantly contract like a dog vomiting in its cage, extremely intense and scary. I thought I was pregnant and then tied it to the kratom.

Yeah i had something like that happen and it was bali gold (which i guess is yellow bali).
 
Gonna order some Red Bali for the hell of it, I need to stretch my suboxone script out so I am thinking I can take less and eat a few capsules of Kratom.

We shall see

What do you mean???

Kratom is gross tasting, and I am pretty insensitive to bad tastes. Perhaps its the quantity involved. Throwing 6 grams of anything in your mouth is pretty nasty (even 6 grams of sugar isn't pleasant). Frankly never got used to it (I generally do the wash and toss). Then of course is the risk of gagging on a clump of dry powder, which has happened.

The kratom high kind of sucks to be honest. Ive taken if hundred of times but I can honestly only remember maybe a dozen time where I felt a good high.

At any high doses the side-effects become absolutely unbearable (extreme dizziness and nausea, worse than any opioid I've ever had -- and ive had a massive variety). For whatever reason i can't take much more than 6 grams of any strain at once without feeling ultra nauseated. I have no clue how people take 12g in one sitting without getting sick. And while the tolerance to the narcotic effect rises, the tolerance to the nausea and dizziness rises far slower.

All in all i think its a good alternative to those who feel like they need to be on narcotics 24/7. That said I find it pretty compulsive (despite how shitty the high is), and if i buy a bag these days, I wont stop until i finish it. Problem is it feels like withdrawal can start only 5-6 hours after dosing, maybe less.

Interesting. Yeah I remember when I bought some I think I toss and washed 10 grams and it was disgusting. I felt all those side effects and even some psychological side effects. For some reason that day I tried Kratom it gave me a lot of negative thoughts, even suicide crossed my mind and I'm really not a suicidal person. I enjoy life for the most part.

If I get some more I'm gonna 100% capsule them up and probably start at 3-5 grams see how it goes, I'll try and keep it under 6 but I agree the high was quite underwhelming at the time and I was sober at the time so my opiate tolerance should have been basically baseline

Hey brother I have a little bit experience with Kratom. If you’re talking about stretching a suboxone script I would definitely be looking at a brand of Kratom called OPMS. It’s brand name so you know what you’re getting for sure. It’s always very potent as far as Kratom goes. Also I’d look into getting a Kratom shot also OPMS brand. Take just half the shot though. If you take the whole thing as a beginner you may get nausea. Another thing is just from experience, if you still are feeling your sub at all you will absolutely not feel the effects of Kratom. I’m sure you probably already know that but just wanted to throw that out there. Capsules are easy to get down but the Powder will always hit you better. Toss and wash is definitely a science to get down lol. If you don’t go with the OPMS brand I suggest a green strain in replacement for your suboxone. Good luck!

Can you not plug kratom tea? I've often wondered that, maybe I will have to try it and report back. because evrryone knows sekio loves putting drugs in his butt :) I found that it works for GHB/butanediol to obviate the nasty taste, should work for kratom too.

I also have a strong suspicion that the highest alkaloid content would be in freshly picked, whole leaves. The process of drying and powdering the leaves probably destroys some of the mitragynine, but I think the major problem would be storage in open air and at temperatures above freezing. If it's anything similar to cannabis, continued storage at elevated temperatures with the presence of oxygen and light would probably lead to large amounts of mitragynine being oxidised/inactivated.

TL;DR: Vendors that have powdered kratom that has sat in storage for months-years will no doubt have an inferior product to a vendor that has comparatively fresher product.

Maybe ask your suppliers how long their stock has been sitting on the shelf, and avoid buying the older stuff?

The OPMS capsules are good, but cost nearly $10 per capsule. They contain 80mg of mitragynine, which is roughly the same in 6g of kratom. If you use 30g a day of plain kratom powder, you'd need 5 capsules at nearly $50, whereas that same 30g of regular powdered leaf would cost $3-4 if bought in bulk.

The OPMS is definitely a cleaner feel though. It will also up your tolerance rather quickly. Interestingly, the best highs ive ever had from kratom were from the regular leaf instead, not the extract. The extracts are also quite abit more sedating than the plain leaf.

Thank you for this info. I looked into it and their products are very expensive, I'd buy the 5 capsules to try it out but I couldn't afford to continue that anyways that's more expensive than a heroin habit 😅

I may give them a shot, I'm also ordering some Kava from Kalm with Kava. I'm excited it has always helped me sleep better despite a rash sometimes occurring as a side effect.

I think I'm gonna try KratomCrazy or KraBot.

Not trying to cross the lines of source discussion rules, but I'm not sure if they apply because Kratom is legal? Not trying to promote anything etc.

As far as im concerned (not sure if others agree with me) kratom is legal and the brands are akin to discussing coffee from Starbucks versus Coffee Bean, or Smirnoff vodka versus Grey Goose, or generic valium versus brand, but of course please no links, .coms or urls on here, etc.

Hey Negrogesic ✌
We've discussed OPMS in the past a few times. As far as the nausea goes, I have found the drug ondansetron (zofran) to noticeably reduce nausea from kratom. I have experimented with and without it and I consistently vomit on 15g doses without ondansetron. I have never vomited from kratom while on ondansetron. it is prescription only but it's not hard to obtain. I take it for nausea associated with chron's disease. Ondansetron is a 5ht3 receptor agonist antiemetic drug. I have never received even slight antiemetic effects from antihistamines and I've tried many (prescription and OTC).

I've been using kratom at ~40-70 grams per day for well over 5 years, probably like 8 years now.

Anyway, as of late I have developed a dependency to the OPMS gold capsules. I found a local shop that no shit sells them at 50% the cost we all expect them to be. I cant stop buying them. Been taking 15g red bali/borneo plus 2 OPMS gold each evening and the opioid effects are consistently more pronounced than without OPMS. I haven't gone a day without OPMS in over 2 months 😬
I know I fucked myself a little here.

I achieve euphoria akin to opiates with these things alongside plain leaf, benzodiazepines, and gabapentinoids simultaneously. I don't recommend that combination though as it definitely increases the risk of overdose.

Took 30mg dxm, 4mg chlorpheniramine maleate, 8mg ondansetron, 14g red bentuangie, 3 OPMS gold capsules, 10mg diazepam, and 1500mg gabapebtin this evening. Feeling pretty well right now (be advised, this is an extremely high dose and combination of sedatives - please do not take something like this without tolerance and experience; even then, i can't recommend something like that).

Just thought I'd chime in.

Sekio - I too am curious if the tea can be administered rectaly. Please report back if you try!

I use red bali for the in-betweens whenever I take too much of my klonopin and then I run out, lol, It really helps me get through it..It is also a better painkiller in my opinion. I tore my rotator cuff and it has been a disaster as the doctors don't give you anything for pain now. I do not know what I would do without the red bali. I pay $12.50 for an ounce and I go to the same vendor all the time. I am not able to order online as every time I have it is not worked. Good luck, I hope this is some help.
