Hey
@vlzinspace
There are a lot of people on these forums who are heavily addicted to Kratom and Kratom-analogous compounds right now like 7-Hydroxymitragynine/7OH. The primary compound of note in Kratom is known as Mitragynine. It functions similarly to other Opioid agonists. It doesn't seem to follow any truly different/complex rules regarding its pharmacokinetics like you would say Buprenorphine (Suboxone) does.
Kratom has occupied a vacuum that was created by a lack of moderate-potency Opioids available to street/recreational/self-medicating users. The "Opioid Epidemic" in the sense of the whole "Oxycontin/Purdue" scandal led to a massive inundation of the street market with cheap, available Opioids. At that time, Oxycodone would have been considered a "high" potency Opioid, though with Fentanyl on the street as it is now, I feel it's more appropriate to call Oxycodone "moderate".
There are people with jobs, families and lives who can't afford to be seen using something like Fentanyl. It's not a drug that lends itself to stability. Now, all of the folks who used to buy these pills on the street have little else but these Kratom products. Your experience and your description of dosage is pretty similar to others that we've discussed here on the forums.
It does produce tolerance, withdrawal... all of that stuff. I am friends with a guy on here who was taking scoops of Kratom powder ever 2-3 hours for almost 10 years if that helps put things in perspective. He said it was the most addictive substance he had ever experienced, but this is just one report.
