Do anyone of you that use or have used kratom, ever get eye wiggles from it, not unlike that of what happens when under the influence of a dose of MDMA? It doesn't happen for more of the duration of the herb, but will be pretty intense in short intervals of a few seconds or so, occurring on and off through out the high.

Perhaps it's from when a dose is kicking in still? If you down the powdered leaf (just chase with water), surely the absorption rate is slow and inconsistent? I bring up this second part because, I've vomited hours after ingesting kratom powder before, already very very stoned, and ended up puking out most of the powder I had swallowed from hours before, on an empty stomach mind you.

Back to the initial question though...
Do any of you get eye wiggles from kratom?

I experienced kind of that on a fairly high dose (~10g of a potent strain) in combination with cannabis but just thought it was "the nod" which I somehow don't like.

But not with regular doses (plus or without THC). Never had this with MDMA though since my experience with that is pretty limited.

PS: Try dissolving the powder in chocolate- or soi-milk. In my opinion thats the best way to down the bitter stuff.

Could it be a cut something they added to it? I've heard of dope from ten years ago that was going around that causes this effect for a few mins after being shot due to some cut that was being put in high up in the chain so it was prevalent...
I could be totally wrong just theorizing lol

Yeah it's a side effect of taking kratom. I get it most of the time, sometimes I dont notice it. But those times when I do notice it, I really dont like it and avoid it for making my eyes messed up. It's just the loss of ability to focus your eyes. In different strains it's less apparent.

Sounds like it could have been cut with Tramadol by the vendor imo. Perhaps the first signs of a potential seizure. This cut is fairly common and very dangerous. I would highly recommend against using it any further.

weird, i was asking myself the same question a few months ago when i was taking kratom in place of other opiates. my eye wiggles occurred initially after i peaked, and then subsided as i came down. i stopped taking the kratom because i thought the wiggles were a symptom of cancer (loljk). i stopped because i got back on the horse, but it seems the wiggles are harmless. i also got very very nauseated from kratom, the powder just did not sit well with my stomach. i have never vomited from heroin, oxycodone, ect... only from kratom and suboxone.

^Thanks NT

That's what I was thinking too

You never vomited from the full agonists because of how effective they are at creating the nod at lower dosages imo, where as with kratom and bupe, you need to dose higher to get there.

Update.. The eye wiggles happen far less often the more I build a tolerance and all that, which I'm already going to stop doing. The main thing I noticed today was that my eyes would do it like crazy if I started reading fine print on cellphones and the like.. but only on those small screens. It doesn't happen with small print on a big screen.

Interesting no? My eyes never do that with reading if I'm not on kratom.

Bali strain btw

I got the same effect, initially just from high doses. Trying to read while on kratom was mostly pointless, my usage was pretty extreme though. My vision returned to normal every time as the doses began to wear off. This was consistent of a period of months with various strains from multiple vendors. Lighter doses didn't seem to cause this problem.

this is a very common side effect at high doses and also one of the reasons i don't like kratom. Off topic but my cat's eyes wiggle all the time and it reminds me of kratom lol. I really doubt it's cut with tramadol, maybe o-desmethyltramadol but highly unlikely at this point (haven't heard of this happening in a long time) as it is much cheaper just to sell plain leaf as plain leaf. Kind of like the whole reason no one cuts cannabis with anything for the most part.

certain strains (more stimulating ones) seem to cause it more so than the more sedating strains.

Kratom in higher doses causes an opiate effect , so I guess its the greater chance of seizures.
