I?m a fairly long time user (over 2 yrs) of relatively low doses (less than 3 g, 3x a day, taken ONLY as a tea) who just got back from a procedure that diagnosed a stomach ulcer. I know correlation is not causation but I?ve done enough searching on this forum to see that I?m not an anomaly.
I?m hoping to talk to others who?ve gone down this road. Did you stop kratom altogether or did you take a break and then restart after the ulcer healed? Did you moderate doses? What was your experience?
I have been a huge proponent of kratom because it gave me my life back. I?ve dealt with IBS with pain, interstitial cystitis, vulvodynia, and fibro for decades. Nothing has helped those issues for me more than kratom. The idea of having to stop taking it forever is a heartbreak and terrifying but I also know now that a stomach ulcer SUCKS and I do not want to deal with this again.
