Opioids kratom in place of percs with fentanyl patch is it safe?

Hello there.. I wear a 75 mcg fent patch as prescribed and change every 2-3 days
i am also prescribed percocet for my breakthrough pain....The doc never gives enough percs to last all month and i continually end up running short..
Recently i heard about kratom..this sounds interesting and i am in bad shape w/o my percs..
i have done a small amount of research on kratom and i guess im just wondering how it compares to percocet and as well is it safe with fent as prescribed
Im not looking to get high, only to get by

Any info on the combined use of these 2 drugs would greatly help me..thanks

kratom won't do much for someone with a big opiate tolerance. Since you are on fentanyl i highly doubt kratom will do anything for you, maybe it's worth a shot anyway. It just doesn't compare to oxycodone, if anything it's like a stimulating coffee with a similar high to codeine.

it's safe to combine with fentanyl, as safe as combining any other opiate/ioid. No idea if the combo will work for you, really you have to try it yourself. Some people get nothing from kratom and others love it.
 
If you're taking fentanyl your tolerance is probably way too high to get much out of kratom, although it may help you take less of those and perhaps ween down.

kratom may help you get by, give it a try. it did help me get by when i was out. but i didnt have a fentanyl patch.
ive used kratom with a high dose of oxycodone and the oxy over powered the kratom. though i could feel it in the background. id guess it would help in your situation
 
i doubt it would help you. ive got kratom before when i ran out of oxy with only a 100mg a day tolerance and it didn't do anything but actually make me feel a bit worse. i threw a whole big zip lock bag of it away
 
make sure it is good kratom from a reputable vendor. It must be fresh otherwise it's going to do absolutely nothing but make you sick. I went from 3lb/day pst habbit to kratom without much issue, my tolerance was like 200-300mg morphine/day, so kratom does work for most people at least. If you're on fent, then it'll add some stimulating qualities at least.
