Kratom - First Time - No Good

Bunnycat, why do you say that about making tea? I'm a former heroin and poppy tea addict who just found kratom a few weeks ago to help with the withdrawal. The tea doesn't taste that great, but it's doable. Also, with the kratom I'm currently using (Indo powder), I find that 5 - 7 grams is just making me nauseated and headachey. Why is it more pleaseant at smaller doses? I mean, I definately feel sedated at larger, and manage to get a good nod, but it doesn't seem worth it. A dose of around 2.5 grams seems to be the sweet spot. My experiences are hit and miss, but I always feel something. Any info would help. Also any info on kratom addiction.

^i have found that some batches of kratom cause more nausea than others. Some poor quality batches even cause intense nystagmus ("wobbly eyes") which can make it hard to see. In order to get any kind of high off of kratom, I need extracts. The effects of kratom can vary considerably from batch to patch and between varieties. Plain leaf leaves me in a mild, relaxed, but at the same time, stimulated state of mind. The different extracts available will allow you to ingest the goodies without all that extra nasty plant matter which seems to make u sick. I wouldn't even try to get hight off of plain leaf.

Also, Kratom is known to cause headaches which seem to mostly be the result of dehydration. Drink lots of water with your kratom. This should help with the headache.

Note: If you you do decide to play with some extract, please be aware that it has the to potential to be pretty addictive.
