Morning Folks.
So a few weeks ago i ordered some 20x Powdered Kratom extract from a well know overseas vendor. I live in Western Australia and i am fully aware how strict our customs and border control services are but i decided to chance it.
(On a side note, i have ordered MHRB twice before, one got through, one didn't) Anyway, i digress...
A few weeks went buy and i'd sort of given up on any chance of receiving the Kratom package, and was expecting a love letter from customs telling me they were keeping it.
So last night i got home and waiting in the letterbox was a yellow international parcel envelope with a bright yellow piece of sticky tape on it that read "OPENED FOR INSPECTION BY AUSTRALIAN CUSTOMS AND QUARATINE SERVICES"
I opened the package and there was my 20g of Kratom, clearly packaged as Kratom, all ready for my nomnomnoms.
Customs had slipped a note inside telling me that their detection systems (a dog??) had flagged this article and that it had been opened for inspection, but that it was deemed safe and therefore no articles have been removed from your package. Thanks and have a good day.
So i was just wondering, and after a bit of searching i see that Kratom in Australia is schedule 9, why did they let my package through?
Does anyone else have any experiences or reasons they could share? Hey, i'm not complaining, i just thought it was strange
