Does kratom have anything to do with opiate tolerance? Say someone quits opiates for a while, and uses kratom a few times, will that effect their tolerance diminishment, or raise it?

Kratom acts as a fairly strong mu opioid agonist. It still affects your tolerance like any other opiate if you use it, especially larger amounts.

Kratom acts on the Mu opiod receptors and delta, so yes it will raise your tolerance slightly. But not as much as stronger opiates will. Edit: Seiko beat me to it.

my best options is to have atleast 3 or 4 diff strains/varieties to mix.match.i can go from 10x-60x extracts and find a good tea with powdered leafs much more enjoyable.. and have half dozens of diff variety of leafs to achieve desired effect.

Yeah, what these guys said, it will effect your tolerance as much as a low to moderate dose of a classic opiate will. (say 20-25mg oxycodone, etc.)

For me it has effected my tolerance greatly. It has definitely prevented my large opiate tolerance to go down at all. I could be on Kratom alone for 2 months and still need 180mg OC to get a nice high.
