Kratom addiction and my distorted perception of reality (help)

Shatterpoint, are there any supplements, vitamins, or any sort of drug that could possibly help me with tapering that you know of?

@Slug
Glad I'm helping.

Dude, join the sub Reddit QuitingKratom (reddit.com). Start an account and ask for feedback. You will get A shit load of support there.

I joined that forum (awhile back), I posted my situation, the next day I had a giant wall of text from like 8 people, responding with taper protocols and schedules, supplements and other advice. The people there have beaten this before and know what it's like. There's also a lot of people there who are looking for help. This would help ya A lot.

As far as supplements, I'm not really sure. When I quit last I did without any.
I do have a list of supplements on Reddit account. Some people there are really into utilizing them whenever they've quit. Check out the reddit sub and they can tell ya what works. There are lots of them that seem to really help people, but I don't know much about that sort of thing.

I got 3 things helping me during my taper.
My wife, Reddit, and my Klonopin prescription.

I'll keep an eye on this thread to keep in contact. But the other forum would be much easier way to help each other (and more helpful).
I also got some tricks too.

Good luck man!

First off; that's a lot of Kratom. I would definitely recommend that you taper before you jump, but tapering does take determination and will power, it's not a free ticket out of Kratom addiction.

Also, when your ready to start doing something about it, don't take it so frequently. Take it like 2 -3 times a day, not
8 - 10

If you would like to post your story with more detail, I could offer you better advice.

I've experienced these symptoms as the OP and others have described with 4 months of extract use. Since I went back down to Bali they have resided. May be affiliated with high dosage. There just isn't enough info on this mystery plant to get a answer.

Got to pay your debt eventually and there is side effects with all substances. Be strong and keep trying to lower your dose. I've been where you are and if I did it, so can you .

I've been using kratom on and off for 5 yrs. When withdrawals kick, I find if I use a different type and can be over it in no time (we tend to stick withour favoites) or even loperamide helps the phsycial symtoms (not the depresson). Don't let anyone fool ya, kratom is mad addictive if you have an addictive personaity.

Like mentioned Kratom seems sustainable when not overdoing it and breaks in between needed. Matches my experience with it greatly. When overdoing it a strange form of fatique dominates the effects, and it becomes depressing.

Stay below 3 gr regular powder (or 1,5 for the strong strains) and a max of 12 a day. Taking a break every 2 moths and it stay more or less the same. Not a holy cure but a effective anti depressant and motivating agent. For severe pain this is probably not the best of medication out there if you want to avoid these side effects. That's my personal exp with it.

I've been taking kratom for almost 4 years, most days overall. I'm sure that some people find kratom very addictive psychologically and mentally but the longer I've taken it the less addictive it seems to me. While I definitely have a sincere and deep love for this plant, if I have to take a break and I know I'll get more in a week or two weeks then it's easy for me to stop if I have gabapentin to deal with the one physical withdrawal symptom that I feel: restless legs syndrome. The gabapentin also helps with the boredom and anxiety I would feel regardless of whether I was taking kratom or not.

When I have to take a break because I run out and decide not to reorder right away, it's become more and more doable for me. When I first started I felt like the world would end when I didn't have any but then again I didn't have any gabapentin at the time. But overall if you want to make your use most enjoyable, only order enough for two or three weeks with daily use. Then when you run out, wait for a week before reordering. Also, you can use more than once a day but if you use only once a day you'll be much better off long-term.

Hey DogLover,
Have you ever quit or taken breaks? I think everyone who has struggled with Kratom should at least have some quit attempts under their belt. I have quit twice. It's certainly not fun. Actually, it's hard (for me). But it is very doable, and relieves many negative effects caused by Kratom. Just remember that we are not helpless and there are things we can do.
If you would like to abstain feel free to hit me up if you like. I may be able to offer some insight which may be of help. Also the QuittingKratom sub Reddit is excellent.
Hey Shatterpoint how are things? I know it's been a while don't know if you are still around but if you are I would appreciate any advice or help that you think is beneficial. I am currently on CT day four of a 14 month addiction to UEI. I have finally decided to quit and hopefully I get through it. As you can guess I am not doing well and I am taking one hour at a time. I am by myself on this I don't have anyone to talk to or anyone I know that I can count on for this ordeal. If you read this please let me know, thank you.

Hey man thanks for the reply! We are in the same boat my friend for sure. I am coming off a serious and long addiction to UEI which has completely taken over my life. If you have time please respond and let's help each other out. Thanks again!

Are you trying to get completely sober or just clean from krat
Hey what's up? Kratom is the only thing I do now, so if I eliminate that I will be completely sober. I have been through a lot of shit in my years as far as drugs and alcohol are concerned. Sometimes it feels like a miracle that I am still alive.

Are you against using something else to help you while your in such a bad place? Maybe a benzo to help with the anxiety? Thats my plan i ordered 40 1.2 mg etizolam pellets i plan on utilizing those and hopefully they help. Im on my break at work right now after today i wont have to work untill the 23rd of this month. I took my final dose this morning at 9am i dont have any more kratom at all and im scared of what tomorrow brings.... How are you feeling right now man? Physically and mentally? Have you ever been dependent on opiates and had to quit? I have im womdering if theres any significant symptoms you would feel with kratom withdrawal compared to heroin withdrawal. I dont have any CT kratom quits under my belt.
