Korea flying laws

I am going to South Korea in a week and want to know everything to know about their laws with flying. I know flying domestically I can pack a pipe in my suitcase and have it checked and not have issues. Now I was told that South Korea has extremely strict rules with drugs, so does anyone know the deal with bringing pipes (I will probably buy a new one just so there is 0 resin) thanks!

Don't chance it. Regardless of whether or not there is resin, IF they find it - and especially if it is glass - you're going to be hassled. Buy some papers / pipe there if you must...

I know a few people that were born in Korea, and some people that have lived there. Long history of hemp cultivation before Western presence, just like many other countries in the region. MJ is available there but if I were you, I would stay away. Too much of a risk.

Good advice bro. In my experience, Korea is not a friendly place for cannabis consumers. If you must take some type of smoking device, take rolling papers, if you need to bulk up the joint, mix in 1/3 of a cigarette.
In all honesty though, Korea is a place that might be best to take a break for a week. Unless you're ethnically Korean, speak the language, and have a source already, you're not very likely to score any buds.

why the fuck take the risk, just boil your pipe and then you know you have nothing to worry about.. i don't know jack shit about the legal technicalities here, but i do know bringing a dirty pipe on a plane won't get you into mensa anytime soon :\

I have friends that smoke that went to South Korea to live for a few years, and they said how with the very strict laws and high inflated price it wasn't worth it They just drank a lot of booze while they were living in S. Korea.
 
fuck ya i didnt mean i would probably clean my pipe if i bring it, i just mean i will probably bring a clean one, they arent illegal here but i dunno there... i guess i wont risk it >.<

the host people i am staying with though are stoners =P
 
Then I'd rely on the host people to hook you up...especially flying to a country like South Korea I wouldn't chance bringing anything, even in my checked baggage. If they smoke, I'm sure they have some glass or papers or something else for you to use while you are there.
 
whats so special about the pipe? does it give head?

your staying with stoners, I think you will be ok in the paraphernalia department.
 
If you bring a pipe then bring one that doesn't have a carb and isn't glass. Perhaps smoke a few bowls of tobacco in it as well, if you smoke tobacco. If they ask then be like "I'm a tobacco smoker and this is my tobacco pipe."

You can buy pipes in South Korea though, I guarantee it.
 
I refuse to smoke anywhere outside of the US, Canada and Western Europe, some countries laws are just to harsh to chance it. I'm not trying to end up sitting in some foreign prison for 70 years for a possession charge...

Many Asian countries have pretty harsh drug laws.

The only thing you can do is bring some papers and swallow a condom with pot in it right when u leave. and plus even if the condom breaks u can collect and dry the pot from ur poo poo.

but yea if you try to score over there ur just gonna get ripped off or even worse narced or set up by police.
 
If I was going to Korea I would NOT take anything suss. you can probably buy another pipe there for $2 but I just would not risk flying a plane to fucking korea holding paraphernalia. Have a fun trip though bro
 
There was a TV series on A&E that I think was called Locked-up Abroad. When I read this that was the first thing that came to mind. Please dude keep your wits about ya travelling especially to a place like Korea. Even nosing around trying to score could get ya in some trouble with authorities or worse. I'd say don't bring anything with ya. If the opportunity for you to smoke comes up you can always MacGuyver something up. Don't take any risks that you don't have to because the penalties are a lot harsher than the are in the states. Be safe
