Kolonopin and urine testing

Hi, I was wondering and looking for opinions on whether I could take 1mg of clonazepam this evening(5pm or so) and not have benzos in my urine on Thursday morning? Got a family function this evening and would really like to take it because I'll be stressed the fuck out I am sure. But I cant have any benzos in my system on Thursday when I see my pain management doc.

Havent had much luck finding any shorter acting benzos like xanax or ativan so I'm stuck with these klonopins. I know the half-life is pretty long with clonazepam but not sure what that even means when it comes to urine testing.

Drug testing questions aren't allowed, sorry man.

There are other options for anxiety relief when it comes to family functions besides benzos.

I'm just gonna not take them. My pain doc has zero tolerance on the benzos, he has told me many times and has signs up in his office saying if you want to take xanax, etc you need to find a new pain doc. I heard a few patients of his died years ago before I was going and now he just doesnt deal with it anymore. A lot of my friends got kicked out or found another doc because of his policy. He doesnt care if your use is legit or not, he wont prescribe any opiates if you have any benzo use.

I'll smoke weed as usual to deal with the function this evening, oddly enough he doesnt care about being dirty for THC. I'm dirty for that at every visit, he teases me about it, lol.
 
That's an interesting policy, but it sort of makes sense to me...combining opiates with benzos can cause overdoses/death a lot easier than opiates by themselves can, whereas combining opiates and cannabis probably fixes your pain issues even more.

I don't agree with it being a zero-tolerance policy to the point where if you got your benzos legally from another doctor (for panic, anxiety, etc), he wouldn't let you get a script from him. Maybe he's got a very paranoid lawyer.
 
Yeah paranoia is a good way to explain the way it seems. I've had a lot of my friends end up leaving to a new doc or get kicked out because they needed their benzos. He has another doc he refers those people to most of the time . He's an old man and stuck in his ways also.

And yeah the cannabis helps a lot, especially when the high grade pot is around. It's pretty much the only non-opiate that gives me any significant relief. The stronger the pot, the more relief I get. I have thought about moving to medical mj state because when I can find the high grade stuff I take less pills. I think it would help me get my tolerance back down to a reasonable level.
 
It's not a bad idea, cannabis certainly has pain relieving properties and helps opiates out a lot, both medically and recreationally. If it helps you reduce your opiate dose for pain relief, I say continue to use cannabis as an adjunct to your opiate pain therapy.
