kolonipam vs adivan

Seriously? I don't want to sound like a jerkoff BUT... seriously?

Google is your friend with simple questions like this.

Perhaps it is your spelling that is tricking you up. Google 'Klonopin (aka Clonazepam)' and/or 'Ativan (aka Lorazepam)'

Also, click on the tab at the top of your page labeled 'Forum' and you will find all kinds of info (enough to keep you in front of the computer for days).

Additionally, there is a Search function in the upper right hand corner of every page.

if your planning on having some fun grab em both and some alcohol and start poppin

eh... not the safest thing to advise on a harm reduction site. Alcohol mixed with benzos is dangerous. To tell someone to 'start poppin' (in combination with alcohol) who is obvious naive to these pills is a shitty thing to do.

pamela, if you don't know your benzos, don't mix them with alcohol or opiates.

Be safe

And if you don't know what a pill is, don't take it. Don't take the advice of random strangers on the internet for pill ID, there are many sites that give pill ID information. Like OD said: Google is your friend.

Great advice, telling someone to mix benzos and booze. It isn't often that I cringe but that one did it for me. Actually, that sentiment is exactly why I stopped posting in drugs forums. A moronic BLer who is ironically now a Mod in one of the BL drugs forums went ballistic when I simply stated "Alcohol + Benzos = Death." He and dozens of other enraged posters insisted it wasn't the case over a period of days, saying I made it up. It was at that point that I decided it wasn't worth my effort having to deal with such willfully ignorant people. It amazes me how people risk their lives.

I am prescribed 6 mg a day of klonipin. after about a month i like to switch my script to 4mg kpin and 2 mg of ativan. and so on until all ativian and then back to kpin. kpins are stronger... but it depends on your body.

"Alcohol + Benzos = Death." NOT TRUE! I was an alcoholic on 6 mg of benzos a day for years. i did both. it just causes memory loss and black outs. you're dramatic.

It's a great way to wind up dead, but there are no sure things. It's just that 1 alcohol + 1 benzo > 2 units of intoxication. If you're an alcoholic, well then you likely have tolerance and as such it would be a far lesser risk than someone who is naive. Someone who could read your advice, think that it applies to them even though they have little to no tolerance to either alcohol or benzos, and winds up dead.

It's risky enough to warn people about, but ymmv, as with everyone else.

Moreover both use the same enzymatic pathways. In other words, it isn't a case of disparate substances.

To the poster who is an alcoholic who used the combination with no ill effects...Subjective experience holds absolutely no value. Your personal usage simply means that you were lucky, if it is as accurate as you maintain. It is like randomly using dirty syringes for 20 years and then stating, "I used dirty syringes for 20 years with no ill effect! Dirty needles don't cause HIV/AIDs!" Harm Reduction is about minimising harm. With that in mind, should you ever get a hankering to use again, do your body a favour and research the issue.

Another example, as a post script, is my dosage of 360 mgs of morphine. It could kill 10 non-using adults but barely has a physical effect on me. Should I state, "360 mgd of morphine is safe because I haven't been killed by it?" Just some thoughts...Though you did provide corroboration for my explanation about why I stopped posting in drugs forums hahaha.
