Thru questionaire, self-report, etc its been found that its actually more statistically typical to never reach the highest level of moral reasoning according to Kohlberg. Any thoughts on this? Certainly surpises me.
People like to think of themselves as having a highly developed morality.
It's one of the reasons we love to dehumanize rivals and those who are different from us. When dealing with "evil" or "bad" people, it doesn't seem so immoral to take their money and power, or even kill them in battle.
