Mental Health Kohlberg's Level of Morals and Adult's Tendency to Not Reach the Highest

Thru questionaire, self-report, etc its been found that its actually more statistically typical to never reach the highest level of moral reasoning according to Kohlberg. Any thoughts on this? Certainly surpises me.
 
I'm not sure if this is relevant...

Anyways I think that pure morality is something to be transcendentally striven for, but never entirely achieved.
 
People like to think of themselves as having a highly developed morality.

It's one of the reasons we love to dehumanize rivals and those who are different from us. When dealing with "evil" or "bad" people, it doesn't seem so immoral to take their money and power, or even kill them in battle.
 
I'm sorry, this does not quite fit in to Mental Health and I do not see this thread really producing much of a discussion.
