know it all kn0bs that think they know all about drugs...? and BS stories you've hear

Actually till yesterday when jenkem came up in the psychedelic poop thread I never heard of it. But after I read it I thought there is a south park episode (major boobage) that might have been inspired by it. In that one they take cat piss to trip. Well, could be a reference to mephedrone as well but I thought it wasn't such a big topic over there like it was here... But maybe I am wrong.

The South Park one was probably based on 5-MeoW-PE or whatever it was called. Was similar to the jenkem story but came first, I think. Basically drink cat piss and trip bawls, dude. Even had its own Erowid page for a while but I think they're pulled it now. Nobody's done a spunk-based one yet, as far as I know...

Also brilliant. Make people drink cat piss.
I just remembered a story and I think it's a very old but persistent rumor. Tha I if you smoke banana peel you get a thc like high. Read once that this one was around since the 60s.

Is "retard" an actual diagnosis that anyone is likely to get anyway? Never heard anyone use the word "retarded" to describe someone with learning difficulties outside of America really. Not since about 1950 anyway.

Some slow-release medications are called retard. Adalat retard, for example, is an extended release anti hypertensive and anti angina drug. Can't help having a little internal teehee at things like that despite being v big on rights for people with learning difficulties... :D there are a hell of a lot more offensive words than retard imo :\

If i remember rightly from my school days, coming in late or im late in french is something like la retard, it was a must say everytime you came in for the much anticipated french lesson

Hehe. Yeah, does mean late in French I think.

Shammy, Asasantin Retard is a goodie, cos people often call it Assassin Retard. And it protects your blood vessels and heart an' that. You're a bit young at the mo, but def one of the better named meds I know :D

As a dx, not exactly, although 'mental retardation' can be a co-occurence or end-result of plenty of things, genetic cockups usually. Those sorts of insults are low though, plenty of people need insulting, if not most of them. But those sort of terms, insult other people who don't deserve it, regardless of the recipient being a fuckup or not, by virtue of them BEING used as insults.

'spastic' used to be used as a dx, hence the existence of what used to be named the spastic society, as a charity for the mentally disabled+those with cerebral palsy, but thankfully it eventually got renamed and the label removed from use. Never heard the term being used in the US, or as a putdown there, indeed the only people I know from the US who know what it meant, have been a few autistic rights activists who network a fair bit with those of us from the UK.
