Can you get diarrhea and intestinal cramping from lowering the dose? I got from .5 to .25, only felt insomnia. Then from .25 to .125 and now on .125 for about 8 or 9 days and starting to get diarrhea. Is this possible?

Not sure if it's clinical but when dropping benzos after an extended period of time just the anxiety in itself will cause me all kinda ills (including diarrhea).
But to be more specific: Yes... it is part of getting off the ride: I will get really nauseous as well but if the taper is a little slower it may eliminate a lot of discomforts. It may not.
Are we trying to get off benzos for good? Just curious; to what end?
Thanks
Best wishes

I went from .25 to 0 and it was totally doable. You might have some mild symptoms but they'll go away pretty quickly.

When I went from .5 to .25 I never had the stomach upset/diarrhea/cramping/Gas. Is it normal the closer to 0, the worse the symptoms get? Right now I have insomnia, slight anxiety, and bad stomach gas/slight diarrhea. Is the stomach upset part of those mild symptoms?

yes it is true that the closer to 0 the more symptoms appear.

I would stick with that dosage for longer. Wait until your body is stable and stay there for awhile before trying to drop lower.
If the symptoms are too much for you- go back up a little and then try dropping lower every other day.

Klonopin (benzo) withdrawal is horrific.
Slow and easy is the best way to go.
Take your time.
You will get there.
