i was on 3 mg klonopin a day months back got off it and now am back on 2 mg a day . it seemed to help a week or so now i cant tell if it is . could i have gotten tolerance back that fast ?

how long were you off the kpin? usually takes me 2-3weeks of no alcohol/benzos. but then again, i try to keep my dosage low between 1-3mgs a day...

i was on 3 mg a day for awhile then was off for month or 2 now back on 2 mg a day for 2 weeks so far. i take .5 mg 4 times a day and im somewhat calmer but i only feel good from it if i took 1 mg at least at once

i was on klonopin 4mg/daily for about a year, RXed benzos 4 years now, from xanax 3mg a day, to taking 10+mg a day, clonazepam is just as potent as xanax mg to mg wise. after 2 months clean from benzos, 0.5mg klonopin had me confused and relaxed, i was shocked! anyone new to benzos should get effect from .5 klonopin, its just as strong as xanax, just a longer half life

If you have a lot of anxiety and it helps, why not just leave it at that? Otherwise tolerance will just grow if you're trying to get high off of them everyday and eventually they will not be as effective.

The amount of time it takes for you to recover from tolerance greatly depends on how long you were taking it before the break. I was using anywhere from 1-8mg for 11 years before deciding to get off it and after a "year" long break I can no longer feel anything on doses lower than 3mg.

klonopin helps with panic attacks pretty well, however it may not take effect until the panic attack passes, but will leave you relaxed and calm for a duration of 8-12hrs, due to its long half life it won't kick in as fast as xanax where you can actually stop the panic attack in progress as it kicks in within 5-10mins empty stomach due to short half life. sometimes these medications may do the opposite for helping anxiety and may cause depression, or the outgoing feeling alcohol provides but in negative ways...it has happened to me with xanax however

but once you have taken it every day for awhile and dont raise your dose is it basically not doing anything for stopping your anxiety anymore?

@jake99: some people say it works for years at the same dose but if you are an addict, you will increase your dose, tolerance will get too high, and even high doses won't get you high or relieve your anxiety. Even on massive doses of phenazepam and lorazepam (used together) I would still get panic attacks. I don't ever hear of people on benzos for over 30 years at the same dose having no problems, I think eventually, no matter who you are, benzos will lose their efficacy and the dose will have to be increased, leading to a bunch of problems. Maybe I'm wrong though; either way if you are an 'addict', don't abuse benzos, especially if you have anxiety. If you want to get high, use something else (other than gaba agonists).

I dunno. I can take literally .25mg and feel the anxiety reducing effects almost instantly. Ive been on kpins for a few months. I take 1mg at a time now and it mainly just makes me tired.
