I was taking .5mg but my Dr wanted me on 1mg but my mom gave me two .5mgs instead of the 1mg. Is that safe?

Yes, you are taking 1mg as that's what two 0.5mg pills are. You are also taking them under the supervision of your doctor that prescribed them, and your mom. Are you taking them for anxiety or something else?
