So I'm prescribed 2mg of Klonopin 2x daily. Over the last few months, I've been getting unbearably cold when I take it. To the point where it's hard for me to function. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there anything like OTC or vitamin or anything I can take with my Klonopin to help fight off the cold chills? I don't understand why this is happening. In the past, it always made me pretty hyper and feel great. Yeah, I would sometimes feel a little cold, but nothing like I'm experiencing lately. I tried to bring it up at my last Dr visit, but he was really not helpful with any suggestions on what I could do. Is there anything I can take to help with these chills??? Any advice is appreciated...it's getting unbearable almost! Thank you in advance!!

I've never taken clonazepam myself, but have extensive experience with other benzo's. I don't recall experiencing this. In fact, generally muscle relaxants make me feel warmer, like blood is flowing more easily through my body. I think many sedatives do intefere with the body's ability to thermally regulate itself, but I am not sure how pronounced this is.

Perhaps a simply vasodilator such as caffeine may increase circulation and subjective feelings of warmth. If this bothers you, speak to your doctor about trying another sedative..

Sorry couldn't be of more assistance. :)
