Why is Clonazepam so so much harder to come off than Diazepam? I went from 25mg of diazepam a day to 10mg in about 4-5 months with no real issues......It has taken me 14 months to get from 0.5mg (complete clonazepam tab) to 0.25mg (half a clonazepam tab) due to the withdrawal effects......Cant understand why Klon is really hard to come off yet diazepam fairly easy?

I don't know they both have long half lives, but IME too valium is easier to taper from, it seems to hold me, and other people I know longer, it's really the ideal benzo in every way IMO wish it was just stronger and more easily prescribed, it seems that clonazepam has kind of replaced values use here in the USA

In the UK Clonazepam is hardly given out for anxiety anymore, shame as it is very good but ultra addictive :(
