there was time enuff to search
in the deepest darkest depths

where footprints disappear
in the shadowy snow of despair

just how many times i have felt alone
cold to the bone
i lost count

everyday begins this way
myself destroyed
by my own best intentions

i am between two mirrors
reflections casting forever
like some forgotten thing
in my fathers bedroom

i wanted to be something to everyone
i wanted to fix the world
to drive a stake in the heart
of an evil i cannot speak of

wordless, wondering why
no one sees this
why no one can do anything
but deny this darkness
that is now

that is forever
eating at our souls

that fills the holes
in the endless empty anything

there was time enuff to spend
and time enuff to kill

time enuff to deny
our own wicked hands

finger on the trigger
killing forever
the screams of those beneath you

and i cry in darkness
for the fool i am
and the fools we have become
so long after we knew it was
the end

it was becuz i had to write something. there was nothing left to do.

i have several more poems i've just written. i will post them when i can. they're stashed in a drawer on paper. i keep forgetting to bring them as i am using a complimentary computer at the holiday inn. thanks for the support. getting out of jail this time was a difficult transition.
