I guess I like 2 for the same reason, I appreciate his dedication to spaghetti western's more, al la 2. Both are great, but the dialogue in 2 seems more polished. Of course the expansion of Bill's role had to do with this greatly. But I never realized until I read your post that 1 played homage more to classic kung-fu movies (the fight scenes in wide open places, the training that took place) , and 2 was obviously dedicated more to westerns (dialogue heavy, alot of it took place in the country, action in closed tight places, Madesn's scenes talking about revenge), both of which are the biggest influences on Quentin T.
