So its heroin and your method of ingestion is smoking? I'd say you need to measure your doses with a scale (to know exactly how much you are taking so you can taper down) and you should start eating it. Smoking is too variable, and if you want to quit, it's best (in my opinion) to change to a slower acting, but longer lasting method - so eating it. I'm assuming there is at least some consistency in the quality of drugs you get. Also, if you aren't used to eating it, be careful not to get impatient and up your dose, only to find it kick in and be too much.
And if you've only been using a month that's a good thing, it's always easier to quit something before it gets any worse. So the time to act is now. And like I said, you have to make a plan, write it out, and hold yourself to it. Otherwise you'll just wake up tomorrow, use like normal, and wish you could quit. It's so easy to just keep using and then at the end of the day wonder why you are still stuck. Next thing you know it's two months later, nothing has changed, you're just more broke and more sick of being stuck. Or, at least that's how it goes for me.
People say it will prolong the process, but if you stick to the plan, when you reach that last day and your dose is tiny, you will wake up the next day off the shit, and with minimal discomfort.
I'm just saying how I would go about it - but then again a month of daily use, you could cold turkey it and be fine in a week. But I don't know you or how your body responds in withdrawal. you have to know what's really possible for you. Taper or just cutting it off.
